What we collect, what we don't.

Plain-language explanation of the data Bonus Eagle collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us through the contact form.

Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information: information you give us directly (when you fill out a contact form or write to us), and information collected automatically when you visit the site (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, referrer URL).

When you submit our contact form, we record your name, email, an optional topic, your message, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. This information is stored in our database and is used to respond to your inquiry. We do not share it with credit card issuers or third-party advertisers.

Artificial Intelligence and your data

Bonus Eagle uses artificial intelligence tools to help with editorial research and drafting (see our AI Disclosure page for details). Your personal information from contact forms is NOT sent to any AI service. Contact form data stays in our private database and is read only by authorized Bonus Eagle staff.

AI tools are used to research publicly available information about credit cards (issuer terms, public reviews, news), not to process visitor data.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a card application link on our site, the issuer's tracking system records the click and associates it with our affiliate account. This allows the issuer to pay us a commission if you complete an application. The tracking is done by the issuer, not by us, and is governed by their privacy policies.

We do not see your application data, your credit score, your approval status, or any information you submit to the issuer. We see only aggregate click and approval counts, never tied to individual identity.

Cookies and analytics

We use minimal first-party cookies to remember your preferences (such as your card selections on the comparison tool). We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand site usage in aggregate. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising and we do not sell your data.

Data storage and security

Submitted form data is stored in a database hosted by Supabase in the United States. Access is restricted to authorized Bonus Eagle staff. We do not store sensitive financial information - never your Social Security number, credit card number, or bank account details. We have no need for that data.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: see what personal information we have about you, correct information you believe is wrong, delete your information from our records, or stop receiving any communications from us. Send these requests through our contact form and we'll respond within 30 days.

Children

Bonus Eagle is intended for adults considering financial products. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the "Effective" date above. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
